Coolant leak when bike for than a couple days

    I find a small puddle of coolant on top of the engine after the bike sits for a few days. ( at yellow circle in pic). Anyone have this happend to them?[​IMG]

    Well that is is the thermostat housing and coolant hose right above that area, I would start searching for a leak there. It is probably leaking when it is ridden but burning off before you notice.

    +1, the two hoses and the housing are screaming leak at their age, the hoses and seal are 25+ years of age I am guessing.The rubber is a little hard and relaxing when cold , replacement of the thermostat and seal are not beyond basic maintenance at this point but it may be as simple as tightening the hose clamps.

    you may have developed a cold water leak.. would pull the hose and make it reseat....
