I have installed Galfers on my previous bikes but haven't done so on my 05 VFR because I'm not sure of the shared brake system and how compatible it would be. I was wondering if any of you have installed stainless steel lines on your VFR and if you found any benefit from doing so? If you did, where did you find a kit for the VFR? Thanks for the time!
I have Spiegler stainless steel brake and clutch lines purchased from Convertibars as part of their full VFR ABS kit. Longer brake, clutch and throttle lines are needed to extend the Convertibars to their highest and rearmost position. The feel with the Spieglers is definitely more precise. No effect on performance of the LBS/ABS. Highly recommended.
Of course you can.. Fit a stainless brake line set to your Viffer - generally people only fit the fronts though as the full kit has something like 11 lines in it ? Goodridge do a kit, but it may well be cheaper simply getting a pair of lines made up for the front to standard lengths. Rod
