how do the 500s sound with the baffles removed form the exhust?

    just wondering if this was a good idea. i searched and couldn't find anything so I'm guessing it maybe isn't such a good idea.

    I have a set of factory mufflers that have had the baffles removed, but I've never had them on my bike...might be willing to part with them...

    I heard it sounds bad.

    But exhaust can sound different to different people.

    i.e. Some people like the sound of little 4 cyl cars with exhausts

    It sounds asymmetrical because of the V 90 degrees, something like twice a H.D. but more consistent and without misfires.
    I had a "blitzas" custom made aluminum slip ons with no baffles inside and liked the way it sounded.
    I will fit them back to the revived as the real benefit was a high boost of torque around 5000 rpm.

    When revved up it has the distict sound of "annoyed and pissed off neighbors".

    See if you can't scrounge up an old Vance and Hines or Cobra F1 exhaust.
