So the radiator shop just called and had me pick up my tank, i guess because the P.O. did the worlds worst job with creem they cant fix it, i put a few gallons of mek/acetone through it and then hit it with some muratic acid, but i guess there is a pile of it hiding close to the seat part of the tank, top that off with blown out seam and some other shitty things and i guess they dont want to mess with it.

So i guess im in DIRE need of a gas tank for an 85 vf 700f. if an 86 tank will bolt up without too much trouble id prefer that, because of the flush fuel cap. If you or someone you know has one that they'd be willing to sell that would be awesome. paint condition doesn't matter as i'll be repainting anyways

I'd take compressed air blow it back threw to see if it will unclog then clean
blown out seam and get some lock tight liquid weld from Napa and try fixing
    seam.
check with your Honda dealer to see if there is a motorcycle salvage yard around.

I have a tank in good shape, that has rust in it. I am using it currently (as cleaned out as possible with out coating it just using an extra filter) till my buddy is done painting my body work. When its done I would be willing to sell this tank off.

500 tanks wont fit. Keep me posted if you need the tank. It can be freed up as soon as my paint job is done. Not rushing a guy who is doing it for free.
