    Hi All,

Just joined as a new member. Is it too late to be included into this group buy? I purchased an 03 with ABS in March and was thinking about upgrading to Heli Bars... and just my luck this thread popped up :D. Please let me know what you need as a confirmation. Thx!

OK then Fella's, I just got off the phone with the Heli dealer. Here's how it's going to go down. Tomorrow,Thursday, 29 April at 12:00 P.M. Pacific Time he's going to turn on his webste at WELCOME TO RG500. The website will be up for 24 hous until 12:00 P.M. Pacific Time Friday, 30 April. Everyone can go to the website and place your order with either a Credit Card or Pay Pal. The price is as I previously quoted above. After the 24 hour order period he'll place the order with Heli, which again, is 3 weeks out for manufacturing. (They're making sets for the VFR1200,that figures...) For those that pay by Credit Card he won't run the card until he receives the Heli's and turns them for shipment to you. For those that pay by Pay Pal, your account will be charged when you hit the pay button. He said that it normally takes about 5 days after they are manufactured for him to get them. Then another 3 or 4 days priority US mail to get to your door. Obviously, you Canadian guys will have to wait just a little longer. :( As of last count we had Fifteen (15) interested buyers. It'll be interesting to see how many of us pull the trigger. So, if you have any questions let me know. It looks like it's all going to come together. This has been a lot of fun actually. Wish we all could get together and ride. I'd love to show you some fast sweepers the back way from Colorado Springs to Denver... HA!

PS Next we'll try a group buy for the Sargent seat. Gotta be ready for my trip to St. Louis this summer...

Thanks for all your effort HercFE. I'll be on the sight at 2 PM (My time) and place my order. I just put my new Sargent on yesterday afternoon and did a quick 120 mi. It was wonderfull. The seat angle and the CarbonFX material allows you to move forward and a little off center to set up for the sweepers and the little rise at the back fits my 5'10" frame just right.

I just found a Sargent used and put it on over the weekend. Definitely a huge improvement over the stock seat, which is crap! After having this bike a couple weeks it really makes me wonder why Honda didn't do a better job- the seat sucks, the bars have to be replaced and the windscreen is atrocious. Granted, other than that, the bike rocks!

Just to clarify, Heli will ship the bars to me on or before May 21, 2010. I have reserved sets already. My site is always up or "on" but just want to clarify that I will make a custom link to use for those who are participating on the group buy. Members can pay via Paypal or a major credit card. If you use paypal, the payment happens instantly, I can't do a delayed payment. But if someone uses a credit card, I can process them manually when Heli ships to me. I did a group buy on these a few years ago and found the best way to ship is via Priority Mail as everyone uses residential addresses which UPS seems to like adding additional costs onto. The reason behind why the link is only good for a limited time is to make sure everyone who is ready to go gets equal treatment. Otherwise some people will have a longer wait than others and I can't call Heli and modify my PO on a daily or weekly basis. Thanks for your understanding. I will probably do a group buy on Leo Vince exhausts next month, they've just released a new design with a "cone" end can design.

    HercFE,

I am part of the Ontario VFR Riders group here in Ontario (go figure) and I passed this information out the network this morning. I know of at least one member that will be taking advantage of the buy, could be more. Thanks for all the effort in putting this together. Great job!

I'm in too - ordered them last evening. Can't wait for them to arrive.
    - Rodknock - I have the same love for sales taxes as you. Plus north of the 49th there is duty (pronounced 'doody' and thought of the same) on virtually every bloody thing ordered in.

*** Same, +1 for HercFe for putting in all the leg work. It was and is much appreciated from this cheap guy who was unwilling to shell out $300 beans list even though I had them at the top of my 'to get' list. By bringing them down to just over $200 ($220, OK) it made me blow the dust off my wallet.

    Cheers!

Guys, I remembered saving the install post a month or two ago. Here it is: http://vfrworld.com/forums/mechanic...ar-install-see-before-you-try.html#post103728. At the bottom it's mentioned that you don't have to remove the "throttle grip" by itself. The throttle assembly will come off with the grip remaining... Hope this helps everybody!

PS A BIG THANKS!! to otrod for the install with pics. Our site is "The Bomb"...
