So I ended up buying a 94 vfr today with 30k miles today for $1,700, the right side fairing is toast but everything works great and other than that it is pristine. It's easily the best decision of my short life and I look forward to joining the community.

haha thank you, the bike was a lot bigger than I had expected but other than that I couldn't be happier. Is airtech the cheapest fairing option? I need a new new right side as well as an upper.

Welcome aboard! Post up some pics. Try craigslist or ebay for the parts you want. It may take some time but if you're not in a rush, you might just find a great deal off those sites.

I also need to get ahold of a manual for the bike, I did a search on here and the link I found wouldn't work for me. Anyone have a good source for it?
