30mph front impact

    bent forks and tire, need to remove triple tree and check for cracking and any other retardation in steering! any advice as to what else i can look at or check?

    make sure your frame isn't bent.... even the slightest bend will make it dive into corners harder than normal, and of course the opposite in the other direction. I had a gs700 that had a bent frame and I couldn't figure it out till I had a friend at a body shop tell me that it was bent......

    If you hit something hard enough to bend forks and wheel, it would be really weird if the triple tree/top clamp weren't tweaked also. Usually the first thing to give I've found. I'd just assume they're bent.

    Sorry to hear! Frame is probably ok but triple, bearings and forks should all be replaced. If its a 3rd or 4th gen your in luck I have a set in the garage, amongst all the other spare parts I keep tripping over.
