For everyone in Calgary and area: there is now a biker apparel shop in Cochrane, Alberta...and it's open 7 days a week. As all local riders know, Cochrane is a popular stop for weekend rides for lunch, Mackay's icecream, coffee etc. now you have another "excuse" for that weekend ride out west with Foothills Motorcycle Apparel. The place just opened a few days ago.....let's support them and if we're lucky, it will do well enough and be around for years to come. They are at: 122-4th Avenue, Cochrane, AB T4C 1L7 (Bay 6) They also have a website: foothillsmotorcycleapparel.com
How is your selection of ladies riding gear? I need to get my wife outfitted. She's an account executive at the Sun so she can get you a good deal on advertising.
It's actually not my place....as a rider, I'm just glad that there's another biker (local) apparel shop...and I hope it survives. I don't have any big purchase plans myself but I plan to buy a few items there this spring to support them. My wife may need some new geartoo this year (if she stays interested in riding the bike I got her last year). If she does, I will suggest that she check out Foothills. To answer your question In terms of ladies riding gear, probably about half of the place is women's apparel. I know the place is owned by a woman and her sales poeple are women, so your wife would be very comfortable just checking it out and browsing. Next time you're out in Cochrane for any reason, it's worth checking out. If I did own the place I would jump on your hint regarding Sun advertising but you'll have to check with the owner. You should be able to reach her at the number on the website as she works at the store. Best regards. By the way, congrats on the VFR1200F...I have not seen one on the road yet...very nice...
