Looking for VFRW members in Dallas

I will be in Dallas next week and I'm looking at buying a VFR on the 26th of April. I may need a secure garage to park it in till the 30th, when I plan to ride it 1800 miles back to Canada.:crazy:

It's looking like this deal will actually happen so depending on the parking at my hotel, I may need to take one of you up on the offers. I'm going to be at the Hilton Garden Inn on Valley View lane in Irvine and the bike is in Las Colinas so we are pretty close to the airport. I'm really hoping that the hotel has a safe spot as I don't want to leave it at the sellers place. That could change when I meet him of course, after all he is a viffer driver even if he only rode 300 miles on it.

 

Got the title today and did a lien search which all came back clean. It's looking better every day! Started the trip planning and export paperwork. Don't want to ride 1400 miles to the border only to be stopped dead for a simple document issue. I won't be in any mood for that, at least my ass won't.

Dragged my Fieldsheer gear out, dusted it off and it actually still fits my oh so much fatter ass. This is a sign from god...the VFR god that is.

 

Time for an update.

I'm in Dallas and I looked at the bike tonight not long after our flight landed. The bike is so clean you can eat off the frame. I have only owned one new VFR and this one is just as perfect as that was on day one. Add to this it had a PCIII and a nice carbon Two Brothers exhaust (The stash) as well as the original exhaust and a GIVI rack. Only 8089 miles but it really looks like it has a few hundred.

So I closed the deal and the bike will be in for the harness recall tomorrow. The bike will be at the dealer till I ride it out on Friday so I won't need to impose on anyone for storage.
