1st time owner of a vfr 01 problems with getting it started

i just bought a 01 vfr from auction and here's what happened has no key so i tried to hot wire it by joining all the ign switch wires,
cluster turned on but the wires were hanging and they touched the triple trees and it died right there, so i figure it was a fuse but it wasn't
so i still have power to the starter solenoid and fuel pump, and ignition f pump fuse but nothing at the front
any ideas
i bought the bike to fix cause i wanted to ride from new mexico to chicago in june and really didn't look forward to doing it on my gsxr
any help will be appreciate it ,before i part this thing out and buy a harley haha

 

can anyone tell me where the bank angle sensor is?
i'm being lazy and i don't know what it looks like
