    agreed!

hey switchblade, did i see you on the cherohala on monday...around 400 (ish). i remember a silver vfr with luggage 'bout ready to enter a right-hander. i was on my wife's red triumph sprint and my wife was on my yella vfr a bit back. we also rode thru the gap. only two thp cars and no motorcycles when we got on it. sweet!

ok guys and gals, i rode my nc route yesterday and it is a hoot. it'll take about 7-8 hours to complete if we stop on occasion for photos and eating. the tn route will take about 4-5 hours with a stop or two and time to eat. i recommend the tn route for our first ride (monday). it's the shortest of all the routes we have scheduled and prolly the least intimidating. also, there won't be as much memorial day traffic on this route.
many of the folks coming from the north have not had much saddle time so their bodies won't be used to too much riding (i could be wrong...it won't be the first time!:mmph:) for too long. besides, it's memorial day and we don't want a 7 hour ride turning into 10 hours so i vote for the tn route first.
i must also say that we need to BE careful on most of these roads. i was behind a tractor-trailer on 28 just north of franklin. the driver was doing his best to stay in his lane but sometimes he had to cross into the other lane. i thought to myself, shit, if someone isn't looking thru the corners, it could be trouble. please to not override your abilities:kc10: . i can assure you that there will be no motogp scouts waiting to sign anyone up for 2011.

That was me. Went to the DRAGON and blistered a front tire. Rode a little over 400 miles that day.

I'm a little dissappointed you're doing the TN route Monday. That's one i'd really like to do with the group. How many people will be arriving Monday or Tues that will miss that one? Anyone willing to do it Tues Wed or Thurs?

THP wrote a bunch of tickets this weekend, if the DRAGON is still closed, it mite not be a bad idea to ride it Monday.

Where'd they write the tickets? the Cherahola? wouldn't it make more sense to avoid those routes until later in the week since Monday is Memorial Day? You know the patrols are going to be extra heavy during that period. Things will cool off during the week. IMO
