Looking good Tex. Love those stock pearl whites. Wish I had never totalled the set I had. See you in SLO. I should be heading down on Friday.

Thanks Fred, don't know about SLO since everything falls on holiday weekends. Retail sucks. But I'm tryin.

Here's where the old boy stands at the moment.

I'm taking this opportunity to clean and paint my radiator screen. Primered now.

My anti roll method. Did this on a lark and you won't believe how sturdy it is. You'd need a running start to push it over. Rear sport-bike stand and a ratchet strap.

Thought about painting my fork lowers while it was apart. Anyone know how to get the plastic do-hickys off 5th gen forks?

Looking nice. All the little things add up quickly to a completed bike. Can't wait to see it done.

You know what I absolutely hate about changing the front end? Cables and wires. I had to take shit off like three times because I'd get it together and find I routed something wrong that couldn't be fixed without undoing half the stuff. It's easier to build these systems from scratch than to put them on without disconnecting everything.

OK, Front-end complete. I put on a lower to see the stance. When I remove the right blinker it's really apparent I need to fix that crack and hole in the side of the cowl.

Up next is the rear-end. Don't get too excited about me talking about my rear end Toe.

Polished the emblem and filled it in before gluing back in.

Said something about SLO around my boss, and I believe the comment was........ "I don't know if I'd want to have a salesperson on my team that didn't want to work on our busiest weekend of the year."

    Guess where I'm not going.

Matt, I'm running the 87 MC with the anti-dive on the forks filled and capped. Before it happens I know what some here would say but I haven't had a single problem.

I did however eliminate the brake line crossover and went to 2 independent steel lines.

It feels pretty steady and solid; but I attribute that to the lines and the fact I removed that combiner. The steel lines I got came with a double banjo bolt with crushable washers which made it a snap.

Alright.................. What are the opinions of me painting my swingarm? If I do, what color; gray to match the wheels or black, and what paint should be used on aluminium.
