Rear Brake Assembly

    Hello and Thanks in advance to any and all replies. My son was changing his rear pads and on his 2004 interceptor and a metal clip came out and he had no idea where it came from. After looking up a rear caliper diagram, we now know it is the "spring pad". The problem is the diagram does not show where it goes in the assembly. Does anyone have a better diagram or can explain how this gets installed. Any help will be appreciated.

    Hmmm...your caliiper is upside down from traditional. It sits directly below the pads. There's usually a tab or a detent in the caliper body that holds it in place. The idea is to put a slight amount of upward pressure on the pads to keep 'em from rattling around. If it's installed correctly, you should have to push down slightly on the pads to install the pin.
