Nice. I hope to have the same pile of crap to keep my snorkel, burnt R/R connector, and rear fender company in the "stuff I took off the VFR" bin.

Here's a shot of the PAIR port covers on the rear bank installed a while back :

Been putting in 64-72 hrs./wk. at work, not much progress being made on the bike these days.

Still more cleaning before I'll be satisfied.
Have alot of new stuff piled up waiting to be installed... and still shopping!
A good deal of other minor fabrication planned as well.:faint2:

    Oh, well, it'll happen...

    Hey -
I just fabricated a K&N filter with the OEM filter baseplate (paper element cut out) and a flat panel K&N I had sitting around. The filter areas were nearly identical - the K&N was slightly larger. I used some black RTV to secure it to the baseplate (the upper and lower airbox were sufficient to hold it in place, but this is to make it airtight). Better than paying $75 for one, and it fits almost like OEM.

I also just got done de-PAIRing my bike about a week ago. I cut the ends off the injection pipes, and brazed in some round bar into the hole. Then, I re-installed them with the original gaskets. I ruined the rear set of pipes removing them from the chassis - I only took off the cylinder head cover to access them for removal, and they were totally mangled coming out the right side of the bike.

Speaking of the right side, all of my plastics are off (except the upper), and I can now confirm that the bike has new-er plastics on that side. Looks like the stamping dates on the left side are all 5/95-8/95, the left sides are 7/97-1/98. Explains the gouges in the frame near the footpeg. At least all-new OEM pre-painted Honda parts were used. Funny this things you find...
