Hey guys, I'm new here. Soon (in a few hours) to be picking up a 3rd gen VFR. Getting it from my cousin who bought it from the original owner, pretty well MINT. It's a 1990, needless to say I'm super excited.

Here's a vid of the exact bike he put on youtube a while ago. :)

I'll post pics of it when I get home. He got an '04 VFR800 about a year ago, so even though the oil in it doesn't have much mileage, it's been sitting for a while.

What would you guys suggest I use for oil? I'd like to stay away from synthetic. I use it in my '99 Z28, but it found EVERY little leak and amplified it. Not wanting that on a bike.

    Welcome aboard.
I used to live near Clay Center and spent quite a bit of time in Manhappiness. My daughter is looking at going to K State this fall and hopes to be on 2 wheels by then.

Nice bike, welcome to the forum. For the oil, use what ever the tech manuals say. You can't go wrong with what the books tell you.

Right on, Manhattan and KSU's campus are awesome. Absolutely love it. There's a girl who rides up here who went on a few cruises with us last year that would probably be down to ride with your daughter.

Been riding her since I got back. Such an awesome bike. Sat for 6 months, he put a trickle charger on it yesterday and it fired right up. Here's one quick pic, pretty dirty. I'll probably get to buffing/waxing Wednesday if I have time.
