Motion Pro Choke Cable Part#

Choke cable on my '84 vf500f broke the other day. Looking to replace it. Only seem to find one made by Motion Pro. But . . . MotionPro.com lists part # as 02-0258. CheapCycleParts.com lists # as 02-0158 with a warning that 02-0258 will not fit my bike. Prefer not to order direct from Motion Pro because of higher cost. So looking to purchase from Cheap Cycle Parts, etc. Can anyone clear this up? Thanks

 

seems like the online parts places use #02-0158. Anyone know the correct part #?

 

Correct part # is 44830-MF2-000, replaced by 44830-MY9-750 according to this
Also found the 44830ML4405 which supersedes the latter.

 

Honda part #'s? I found 17950-KT7-405 for the OEM choke cable but it is unavailable. Thanks

Choke cable has part # 17950-MF2-000 replaced by 17950-KT7-405 as you already found out.

 

i went to the dealer on my 87 700, and they told me that they couldnt find anyone who had the choke cable.. factory or otherwise. they said that i would have to have the cable made. anyone know if this is the same cable and part# for my bike?

 

After seeing that every parts place online had Motion Pro #02-0158 listed for the vf500's, I went ahead and ordered one. Unfortunately, it is the wrong one. Not sure why they all are listing the wrong part. Anyway, looks like I will exchange it for #02-0258.

mad willy, Motion Pro list #02-0258 for '87 Interceptor choke cable. If you order one from someplace other than MotionPro.com, be careful that they don't have the wrong part listed like they do for the 500's.
