WELLLLLL, looks like we're gonna close on our house on Monday, so the family will be down on Saturday night from Michigan, and we're gonna be a little busy right now; so no riding for me this weekend, but I'm OK with that! Plus, once we're settled, I'll be all for some serious ridding!

So, the family got postponed until Sunday, so I'm riding tomorrow Jay (and anyone else), and here's where I'm going:

"Saturday April 3rd, meet at the wawa off rte. 3 @9am.(2390 Plank Road, Fredericksburg) head south down 95 to Thornburg, catch 208 down to 64, 64 west to some backroads than hitting 56. I am told it is the dragon of VA. then heading back via 20 through Orange. Anyway all are welcome.

Weather is supposed to be amazing!!!"

"From WAWA back to WAWA google says 261 miles in 6 hours 15 mins."

    Anyone wanna join us?

echo, 56 is a fantastic road, and its usually my destination on summer rides. BUT i wouldnt even think about going this time of year unless i has some sort of dual sport bike. i can put together a decent local route, start in thornburg, we can end in fredericksburg, or back in thornburg, or just split off whenever. these roads are usually clear by now. anywhere from 2-5 hours, 100-250 miles. all back roads, no highway.

MAN! I really wish I could have made it, sounds like it was great. Unfortunately, I woke up with a swollen eye and bad allergy issues this morning, and couldn't put in my contacts... So no riding for me at all today. And tomorrow the family will be on the way down... I'll try to make the next one in my area.

So I have no idea how it went. They did post pictures, looks like they had about 5-6 bikes in the initial group, and must've met up with another group cause eventually they had about 15-20 at some point on the ride. No one posted any dialog yet, so I don't know what condition 56 is in.

did 56 yesterday, wasnt our plan to go there but thats where we ended up. i was wrong about the condition. some spots of gravel, just stay towards the outside of lane lane and you'll be fine. didnt check it out west of the parkway though, but that side is usually worse.

Did anyone else get out and enjoy the June weather today? The tires were super sticky and we had a lot of fun on 211. After 211 it was just plain HOT. Monkey butt set in and the last 150 miles were pure torture. Bring back Spring! Or else I'll have to make some super seat beads for the Superduke too!

Man, I really want to be out riding but the POLLEN OF 2010 has kept me home bound since saturday afternoon. At least I got to spend the morning riding around town with the wife on my vulcan. I had intended to spend easter morning on the VFR, but could barely breathe and the sinus meds weren't working. I don't know how bad it is where y'all are, but all my bikes are starting to match my green ninja 250.

glad to see some action in here again. I was starting to get worried. I've only done a few short rides this year so far. Mostly taking a few people up to 211 and back. You know, my usual route for those that have ridden with me in the past. Tomorrow I heading out to WV for some fun. I did take the gixxer up to NJMP and had a shit load of fun on the track!

NJMP was awesome and totally worth the trip to New Jersey. I gave myself a scare with some how dropping the front tire off the track at 100+mph. Two sessions later, my buddy low sided leading up to turn one. He and his bike turned out to be fine even after hitting the ground some where in the 100+ range. Shit happens but thank god no one was hurt.

So when are we all getting together for a ride?
