    Hey all.

My name is Rick, I'm almost 28, and I live in Exton, PA which is about 45 mins west of Philly in Chester County. I am also down the fam's place in Brick Township, NJ (Jersey Shore) quite often. I'm originally from Huntingdon Valley, PA. I am a photographer and going to school for my BFA in Photography as well. I work for a Jeep aftermarket parts company called Quadratec, based in West Chester, PA. I drive a Wrangler I've built up from stock (My 5th Jeep), and also a Silverado. Both vehicles hate me, but they have tires and a motor so that's to be expected. For bikes, I've formerly owned '82 Honda CB450SC and CB750SC Nighthawks. I currently have a Honda NT650 Hawk GT. It's fairly modified as follows: Gold Valve emulators, progressive springs, GSXR brake caliper, EBC floating disk, M4 full exhaust w/ chopped can, jet kit, Fox adjustable racing shock, Corbin seat & backrest, frame sliders, roller bearings in steering head, Eastern Beaver upgraded headlight wiring harness, Dominator Dual Headlights w/ 85/80W Osram Hyper H4's, among other things. Here are a few shots of the Hawk at various stages:

I absolutely love this bike and would never think about selling/trading it, but my needs for a bike have changed since I purchased it. I'm looking for something that can get me AND a passenger hundreds of miles in a weekend (I did 7500 miles last year alone on the Hawk), but still be very comfortable. My Hawk accomplished this well, but I wanted to do better while trying something new at the same time.

I am actually here as I decided to sell my Hawk GT for a VFR800. I am heading down to VA Beach this weekend to look at and most likely trade for a '98 VFR800 shown here:

I am excited to be on something new and different for this cruising season. If anyone local wants to ride, let me know. I am part of a motorcycle club so I typically have plenty of rides to keep me busy, though. I do try to get to the Hooters Bike Nights in King of Prussia, PA and New Castle, DE as often as I can, though the New Castle one gets so big it's not as much fun as the KOP one. ALSO, I am not one of those crazy sport bike riders :p - I like to cruise. I do my racing at NJMP.

Unrelated to bikes, I enjoy firearms and have .40 cal Glock 23 as a CCW. I enjoy range time often if I can get the free time for it. Also, here are a couple quick shots of the Jeep, and I'll get a couple of the Silverado up too when I get home - my photos are blocked here at work so I just have to link ya to the posts on my Jeep forum if that's cool:

So yep, there's my intro. Looking forward to getting the VFR and getting some miles in!

Welcome! I'll be down at NJMP on 5/15 to meet people and spectate.

My girlfriend lives in Brick so I'm there from time to time -- will be moreso now that it's warming up!

We'll have to meet up and ride!

Thanks for the invite guys! My b-day is on the 12th of May, so I will see what's going down. If I recall correctly I took a long weekend for it. What's the cost of their track days? I've typically gone with ACE (Absolute Cycle Experience) and paid $150 to $225. Also, I usually go with my boss and co-workers, but may cruise down to at least grab some photos of some of you guys. I have long lenses that work great at NJMP. I have not been able to get my Hawk down to the shore (never enough time to really organize it) but not with the VFR and longer cruising distance, I will definitely be down there quite a bit this season!

NESBA has a 75 dollar membership fee (good for one year)

And the days are 175 to 195.

Let us know if you are coming out brother.

Thanks, man. So are these VFR's good at the track? I picked it up on Sunday, but was only able to ride for about 5 mins down in VA Beach before I put it in the bed of my truck - and of course it's raining. I'll be out on it tomorrow. My Hawk was great on the track, minus the straights.

Hey welcome to the board. You just bought the best (yes I am biased) VFR ever made. I live in the Sayreville area so I am not to far from Brick. One day we need to plan a ride to AC. If you have any questions then please feel free to ask. I will be down at NJMP this Saturday doing the NESBA Yamaha demo ride.
