So, I decided I was going to order this really cool, trick part from Italy for my bike, however I think something got lost in translation here... I emailed them about the part, cause it showed from 2002 to 2006, and as everyone knows, I have a 2007; asking why the part ended with 2006, since to my knowledge there was no difference in this part from '06 to '07. Now, I know there is some language translation going on here, so I'm good with the confusion, but they asked the question below:

"Concerning your enquiry, you should check if the vehicle type of your bike is RC46 var.1 ver.1. You will be able to find it in your bike registration book."

Really? I checked all my registration docs (books that came with bike as well); nothing like this. Any ideas?

And if you do know, what are the "var." and "ver." numbers representative of? I'm assuming it is "variety and version"? Even so, what do these numbers represent? How many varieties and versions are there?

i think they possibly mean variation1 or version 1....in either case its the same thing.

whats the part ? is it VTEC related?

i really cant see a big diff otherwise.

I would just forget about what they're asking you altogather and just have them send the part. Unless it's VTEC related, the part will work on your bike. Sounds like the information that they have is off the mark in terms of versions or variations, it won't affect an exhaust at all, even if they think it will.

what is the part??? the difference is in the electrical on the 07 and up.
    different ECU and plug connetions.

Also the 5th gens are 800cc and are listed as RC-46 as well.

opps I just read it back again, if you are getting the exhust there is no difference on the 02-09, so as long as it is the under tail you will be fine.
