Well I found my replacement for my 06 vfr abs. I sold my much loved bike to my dad and he is happy as could be. Much nicer faster better bike than he ever imagined ever getting in his life! Anyhow I found a 2005 Hayabusa with 16k miles for just under $4000 and just could not pass it up. Like they say the power of this engine is just amazing. It is impossible to explain. I am still learning the bike with only a few rides in but so far I like it. I have nothing bad to say about the vfr at all. Great bike I just wanted to move on to something with eye popping power and still keep the somewhat sporty sorta comfy feel.

Come on. This is not a bag on the slow old guys vfr post! I am not "old" and the vfr by any standards should not be considered slow. Although I must boast a little or better yet give my honest opinion of the power only of the busa. It would be hard to go back. With my current needs this bike fits me better. It was also a couple thousand cheaper which fits my needs also. Due to current economic crap I was in the running for missing a riding season altogether. :pout:

Thats cool. Kinda a small farewell party though. Anyone wanted to know an average guys opinion of the 1rst gen Hayabusa versus the vfr let me know. I will still be riding the vfr from time to time.

Congrats on the new bike. Hope it treats you well. One of the thing I liked about the VFR is it has power but not as much as something like the Busa. Just stay safe ATGATT, and have a ton of fun.

Hey thanks! You know I was a little apprehensive about the power of the Busa at first also from what I had heard about it. Although it does have lots of power its not scary power at all. I mean if you give it lots of throttle it will flat out rip but it does incredibly well just putting around also. I am still learning the bike and will be getting on the gas more and more probably.

Ya the busa feels a bit more heavy. In the corners it feels more like a big chunk of bike under me. It is not too shocking looking at the thing. Everything on the busa is just bigger when looking at the vfr and busa side by side. I just love bikes. I would have 1000 of them if I could of all sorts. Looks like a busa and CR250 will have to do for a while. Ya I will try and get my dad on here. He is pushing 70 years old and computers are still a bit scary for him. He likes ebay though.
