I got the carbs in no problem, scoped it out for about 15 mins. figured the angle of the dangle and in they went. Thru a little gas/mystery oil mixture down the throat of the carbs. A oil quart flilled with gas oil mix hooked to the gas line to the pump. Turned the key on, hit the start button and......... wa-la she came to life. Sounded good, let it idle for a few mins. Hearing this thing start up is more exciting then getting a brand new one, after what I've gone thru with this old girl. Pictures of it to gether later on.

I was thinking while the plastic is still off, and gauge cluster is easily accessible, the lenses are scratched and faded. Is it a big job to change these out?

Here it is, all ready to go. Runs great. Thanks to TC, and everybody else who helped. Time to go ride. Oh if your wondering, it is a 87 with a 86 color scheme.

The best way to get them black again is to use Carnuba Wax several times on them. The oils will be absorbed in to the plastic and keep it black. May have to use several coats at first. Then a couple times a year.

    Bike looks great. Enjoy it!
