Hi, has anyone ever had a problem with genmars coming loose because of amount of bars sticking above fork tube ?
2nd I did not use the 2 filler pieces on the top like the look better without and think pinch bolt will hold better without ?

I've had them on 3 of my bikes so far (including my '04) and have never had a problem with any of them. I don't think the finishing caps make any functional difference at all; strictly for cosmetics. I think the only possible issue would be if you or someone else had changed the front end geometry by sliding the legs down the triple clamps to a point lower than stock.

BTW, are you asking theoretically or did this actually happen to you?

just asking theoretically, I put them on last night and the thought crossed my mind because of the bars sitting up much more on fork tubes and not using the oem saftey clips.

I think that as long as you have enough material showing to allow the risers to get a good purchase you should be fine. BTW, that 3/4 inch rise doesn't sound like much but it makes a world of difference. Some need the additional rise that Helis give but if the height increase of the Genmars is enough, the cost savings combined with the much simpler install make them the smart choice. Good luck.
