Hello...I'm new to this forum and looking at purchasing a Used 2002 VFR with only 936 miles on it. The price is 7000.00 Plus tax/license. It has one tiny scratch about 1/2 inch long on the rear section, not noticable. Helmet and tail bag included. Bike has never seen rain and looks new. Is it worth the price? What do you guys recommend for a new rider besides a Helmet as far as safety gear/ rain gear etc.

Anyone have any opinion on if the bike is worth it or not? I need to decide by Monday. This is a nice forum, but not much activity.

I just did a quick search on cycletrader.com, and most of the 2002 VFRs are going for $8500 and up. However, there is a dealer in Milpitas, CA who is selling new (1 mile) for $7599.

There are band new 2002 viffers still available. Sun Honda recently had a $7,500 sale sign on one. $7,500 plus tax out the door is not a bad price. You shold be able to duplicate it.

I hoppe he is happy riding. He could have gotten a new bike for around the same price.

As long as he's happy with it QWERTY, that's all that matters. Maybe he didn't have a dealer close that still has '02s available. I know I don't. Plus he got the helmet and tank bag with it. That's at least worth $500. Just my opinion though.
