    Whelp,

My rectifier/regulater died today on my 90. I was wondering if I should purchase an oem or if there isn't a better one from another make or model bike?

Any feedback before I go buy one tomorrow would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

My R/R went out a few days ago, I found a few stock ones on Ebay for $30! Should I just by two and keep one in the bike for a spare or spring for the one from Rick's for $120? Not sure how long they will last. I do have a CPU fan hooked to mine from a past owner and it has the same one that I can buy for $30 and the bike has 22,000 Miles on it. Thoughts?

If you got the money, spring for the new one, at least you know it won't have problems. And it has a warranty. Also check you battery, if your RR went out (and this is my experience) it boiled my battery. You may just go ahead and replace the battery while your futzing around witht the electrical... Just my opinion..

When my old R/R went out I though it was the battery, so I bought a new one then got on here to find out the problem why it wouldn't charge and learned about the R/R problems these bikes have. I'm good to go now, thanks for the input
