have you rode the bike much? I recently had the same problem, i bought the bike from someone who didnt ride it much and apparently when the bike sits the neutral saftey switch in the engine can get sticky, I rode mine about 100 miles and that fixed it!! This might not be the same problem as yours but its an idea.

A diode is like a little electrical check valve. It will allow the flow of electricity in one direction only and it will block the flow of electricity in the other direction. As an example,it will allow electricity to flow freely from left to right but it will block the flow of electricity from right to left. If electricity is flowing in both directions through that diode 83 that means the diode is shorted open. It's allowing the flow of electricity in a direction that it's not supposed to,that could be the reason why your neutral light is coming on (and it's not supposed to) when you pull your clutch lever in. Try a new diode, make sure you get the direction of electrical flow correct, and see what happens.
