    Hi guys,

I'm curious as to which exhaust system would be best for the 750FG. What's the most commonly used/recommended exhaust upgrade? Where can I get them? I seem to be having trouble finding upgrades online. Looking for some guidance here.

    Thanks guys!

For the age of this bike, the best aftermarket exhaust is going to be whatever you can find out there. I own an '86 and they are hard to come by. I don't think anybody actively makes an aftermarket exhaust for this bike anymore. Just check eBay, Craigslist, etc.

I got an off the shelf oval muffler from cycle gear, made by FMF to go on my 4-2-1 exhaust. ToeCutter helped me by cutting off the muffler mount and re-welding it to better fit at the correct angle. Sounds awesome and it's not even loud.

Has anyone heard of Marving? They seem to be the only one who have something for this model bike but I can't find them in any US retailer.

Go with his Kerker if your willing to find another muffler. Those Kerks sounded shitty. This is a 4-2-1 right Fred? If it is, I'm pretty sure it's the same as my set-up. You can get an after market muffler and weld some spring holders onto the pipe.

Yep, 4-2-1, sounds shitty and needs some love. Leete me know by Thursday night if interested or I have someone else that might wnat it, they are waiting since I offered it up to you first, lorsban. Honsetly, If you are located in the Phillipines, I am not sure it is worth the cost of shipping.

Look for a Laser or Yoshimura full system on ebay.co.uk or ebay.com.au . Most sellers will ship to the island without hassle and the selection there is very good compared to the US. You might also have better luck sourcing and modifying parts for an NC30 or VFR 400 as those models are more prevalent in asia. I also have "Arrow" full system for '86 750 that looks and sounds great.

    Good luck!

there arent many options for aftermarket exhausts for these bikes anymore. the most popular aftermarket configuration for an exhaust is by a WIDE margin a 4-2-1. they give you a great sound, significant power gains, and drop a ton of weight. the only downside is that these 86-89 models are known for having a flat spot in the torque curve between 6k and 7k with a 4-2-1 that nobodys ever figured out how to get around.

theres a user on this site right now who is selling a yoshimura full 4-2-1 for like 150 bucks + shipping. id jump on that while you can, cause yosh makes some outstanding exhausts. other than that, your ONLY option for a brand new 4-2-1 system is to go with Laser.

Best exhaust setup I have heard was a set of stock Ducati cans off one of their 750s. An old friend bought them cheap on Ebay, cut the stock cans and welded a high rise setup. I think he paid $100 for the setup and $100 for the weld work.

New Laser for 750FG or do I have to retrofit it to make it work? The only other new system out there made for this model is from a brand in italy called marving or marting or something like that. But, I'm not sure if it's a stock replica or loud.

the laser is a brand new system that fits out of the box. its a 4-2-1 baffle with a pretty big muffler, and i have to admit the deeptone sound it makes really does sound great on our V4's.

    Laser Exhausts > Home

thats where youll find their website. to my knowledge, laser is the ONLY company that still makes brand new exhausts for the 1st gen vfr interceptors. (if anybody knows of another company that still does, please correct me)

marving, mivv, laser, motad, galassetti (YouTube - 100 cavalli per l'Honda VFR RC 24 del 1987) ..and maybe termignoni

4-2-1 on my RC24II gave me the problem of flat torque in midrange revs...I love my modded Marving 4-2-2 for its power curve and great looking

[IMG] but I have to admit...it's not as light as the 4-2-1

That looks like a sweet setup, what year did he get those from?

Maybe if you experiment with baffles or drilling holes in a plate in a 4-2-1 you can get the backpressure of a 4-2-2?

they are "similar to stock" replacement for 1988-1989 RC24 II...not imported in USA...take a look year: honda exhaust muffler 2 partsmanual fiche vfr750fj 1988 kph

I'm pretty sure an hole won't change the problem of my 4-2-1 no-brand, damn loud exhaust...almost identical to the Laser silencer...[IMG]
