Hi, its great to have some ladies to chat with. It doesn't matter how old your bike is. As long as you ride and its a VFR!!! LOL.

How is the weather in Kansas?? Maybe we can get together on a chat night.?

    Keep in touch.

Heya and thanks! The weather here is cold. Although, that doesn't stop me from riding..lol. Today it was only about 49 degrees. So, it wasn't too cold. Would love to chat. Just let me know when, I don't come around too often.

Hooray for you, Rowe on a 1983. I thought I had the oldest VFR on this site with a 1986 VFR700F2. As of January, it is old enough to vote! I got it after a long search because I wanted the white/gold model. But now I have a '96 ST1100 instead. I like to tour long days, so it fits me better. Therefore, '86 VFR is for sale!!!! I'll be putting it on ebay, but if any one is interested--- check on the classifieds. Ride safe!!! mrae

Whew! I feel better..lol. I guess that means I'm gonna have to start training my bike to vote. Congrats on the '96. I was looking for something newer, but my guy talked me into buying the '83 (which I made a mistake on my previous post.. i have an ''83. I'm not sure where the '86 came from other than I posted it in the middle of the night..lol). I must say though, I don't regret it.. it's the most comfortable bike I've been on.

Damn and I thought with my '84 VF1000F, I had the oldest one... Still congrats on your new ride. There is something about these old bikes that makes them rewarding.

Don't forget to do the oil mod upgrade, and while you're at it change the plug wires and put in stainless brake lines, it really transformed the brakes and the engine woke up a bit with some new plug wires.

OOOPs! Isn't that what forums are all about-- to spread misinformation.... :>)
Bobbybrit- you are right. I have looked right at them, but because they weren't white like mine, I didn't recognize them!!!
Actually I was at a rental shop in Chiang Mai yesterday looking at a CBR1000 he has for rent. Not that I wanted to rent it-- far too big for the job. However I am probably booking a Honda 400cc to ride the Mae Hong Son loop in a couple weeks. I did it 8 years ago, on a 125cc Dream!!! That was all I knew how to ride then. Now I have a Pan-European (ST1100) in Montana and we will be doing a long trip down PCHinto Mexico and across to Bike Week in Daytona this Feb/March.
    Ride safe-- maren

Hello ladies, I'm a proud new VFR owner. I purchased my 05 silver VFR on Saturday...I love it...it rides so smooth, and sounds wonderful. There are a couple of things I do need to comment on...and I'm not sure if it's just me, does anyone else's hands/wrists hurt after riding for say 30 or so minutes? Maybe its my positioning of being used to my prior bike. Also, with the tail pipes running under the seat, I feel more heat coming off the bike.

Have any of you made any upgrades to your bike yet? If so, what have you done?

I'm thinking about upgrading the windshield to the Zero Gravity, adding VFR decals to the side of the bike, changing out the seat to a Corbin, adding either factory saddlebags or a trunk, and possibly doing something with those grips.

How many ladies are in this forum?

    Vicki

Hi everybody! I joined VFRworld yesterday & found this forum just for girls. I own a VFR700F Interceptor from 1986 for 2 years now. All our friends have new bikes, but I just love my oldie!!!
I get very jealous when I read about all the trips you are making! I'm from the Netherlands, and we just don't have all those beautifull long roads.
We do ride a lot in Germany, that's getting close...
    This my bike!

Hi Marion & Vicki. My name is Diane I'm from NJ. I have an 06'VFR and love it. I have not had any heat issues on occasion I have a wrist problem, but I find I am putting too much pressure on my wrists. I adjust my position and I'm ok. I have on order a Sargent seat. I believe Corbin is a little harder. But that is each owns preference. CA has got to be great to ride in. I have never been there. Or the Netherlands. If you come out east, look me up.

Talk to you soon. And good riding!

You could consider a set of Heli bars to adjust the position of the handles thus taking less pressure on your wrists....

As a guy I find my wrists start to get sore if I'm riding the straights....Find a twistier road and start moving around a bit... LOL

Sigh...I'm only giggling cause I think I told a woman to "move around more" on a totally different subject once before... Ahem.... LOL

    Hi.

I take the chance here as a guest to hail at all nice gals in here and throw out a lil idea.
Why not starting to list pics of all VfRworld's nice girls? Guess this is a fine suggestion for a calendar, next year. Another site in which Im member (Ninja.it), in fact, is organizing same cool attempt, cos many girls are riders and few pillions..

Then any further advice is accepted...............

Hi VFRKitten, I'm 5'2" too, wanted to ask you, did u lower ur VFR? Or did you keep it at the same height? I'd really like to get this bike, but i dunno if the seat heights gonna be an issue
