    the only thing i scrape besides the pegs is my bottom fairings and cat when going over the launching bumps (speed bumps). At 6'2" and 220lbs im not light but not over weight either, i just set my sag and run the adjuster on the stiffer side for when i corner hard. so I think, and could be worng, that you killed your spring some how.

    can you hit the scrap with your camera with the bike up on the center stand? I'd be interested to see what the pavement is getting mad at.
