Will turn them around ASAP and will repair and run two others while I am at it so I will have two spare sets.

Update on ring job. I've got the engine back together, spun it just enough to get a compression reading. With just assembly lubrication, the 60 psi hole is now 165psi. Not the greastest but I can live with it. What can you use for off the car part store shelf oil in this bike? Got to go to work, so this is a short blog. More details later.

The bowl seals are roasted and a bit of corrosion. The sync springs are missing on two of the carbs but I think I have two to spare.Cross over tubes look fine. Will clean and repair as needed and test Saturday morning and send back early next week. Work is kicking my ass currently but will make it happen.Oh....nice packageing job....could have suffered a nuke blast and been undamaged.Good looking out, two thumbs up!

Back from work (2nd shift sucks.) Tc, I bet the gas sniffing dog wouldn't of pick up a hint of gas off that package, you think? Their in pretty rough shape aren't they. Sorry, but the idiot that had the bike before me should of been charged with VFR abuse.. So what kind of cylinder psi would of been on this bike when it was new? I was thinking 180,that sound about right?

Toecutter needs to do his two card tricks before the church will recognize!

I agree though, TC has been helping me source a part for the Ninja I have been working on and having work done to!

Got the carbs back together, too busy Friday to goof with them much but will make every effort to install and sync them this weekend. And yes they are a bit on the rough side, not much that can be done to improve the look, but who cares? Can't see them when its all together.

Yes, still have the cosworths, they need 700 rods, they are oversized, and I have the GSXR 750 rings that go in them.

Got my carbs back from TC today. Was going to tackle the job of putting them back in. Did some forum reading first, and thought about the boots, thinking that their probably original, hard and dry ,brittle. Got on the phone ordered some new ones. They are coming in Friday, so the suspense lingers on. TC, I've got something coming at you, keep a eye for it.

Man, this thread really makes me crave for another project bike :pout:

Look at that, parts going back and forth from Maine to Cali to get this classic back up and running.

Good for you kubota for putting in the labor, you'll appreciate this bike more than any other.

I vote TOE for American Idol.

    Buy a 1984 to 1990 Ninja GPZ900R (a.k.a a zx900).

Parts are plentiful and its a classic.
