Hey everyone, just hit 12,800 kms and was wondering what is involved in the recommended service? and how much I should expect to pay if I have a shop take care of it? Thanks for any input.

around 8.2 I think. I know when I run 5k it's about 3.2 miles... ugh, I wish we had just switched to metrics when we were supposed to....

8.2 thousand is right. according to the manual it's the first "major" tune up. are you saying this should be ignored? is your U.S. manual different?

No..not saying that as I have a 1997 VFR the next service for me is at the 16K mark. so at first when I read this I'm thinking wow you're on the ball. I would have it serviced if nothing else just for warrenty reasons, that way everything is known.
