There are several, not availible in the states, BlueTooth equiped helmets. Although I thought I just saw an ad for one touting itself as the first in the US. I don't know, while I wouldn't mind it, the safety of the helmet is much more important to me.

Thanks for posting all that. Probably just going to use FRS radios to start. Don't need long range communications.

suprised most of you don't know StarCom.

They, in most people's opinons that I know, are the best you can buy.

    Interesting!

StarCom and Baher (sp?) I hadn't heard of till recently. When I looked for my system, I read two full reviews, AutoComm was the best in both tests, and by a pretty wide margin. One review was in a British bike mag, I only read it online, don't remember the other's, sort of remember stuff being in there I hadn't seen before, chalked it up to "not availible in the US." The other review I read much more in depth was with the US mag, Motorcycle Consumer News, they did a comparo, buying the units, several of each model and comparing them back to back. Although they hated the price, Autocom was the best one, if I remember correctly it wasn't even a close contest. Having owned one, I have to say, it worked perfectly, right from the get go. And you could have perfectly, even I would say, surprisingly, clear conversations at 70 or even 90MPH with someone on another bike, also traveling at 90 MPH. I did try my phone once or twice, just to see, no one could tell I was on my bike and not in my car. My wife thought it was clearer than being in the car. Music was clear as well. And the over rides worked great -- voice over rode music, radar detector over rode everything. I had no problems with electrical interference. Mine was mounted under my seat, where I also put the GMRS radio, radar detector was up front, ran lead under seat and tank, phone & music was in tank bag, lead routed under seat.
