Ok. I won a high mount off of ebay and I didnt know that the '98-'99 fit different (funny though cause websites just say '98-01). O well, this piece to me is rare so I went ahead and won the sucker.

Here are some pics of how the pipe looks. I need to know what you would do to make the pipe get closer the wheel for a better alignment with the tail.

    1. Bend the bottom bend more and pull the pipe off the header a little, then clamp down?

    2. Bend both bends to make fit?

Is it me? or is there something is a miss. I know you're asking for advice, but that don't look right. Hard to say without being there what needs moved around.

    Maybe this will help?

Thanks for the pics. I think the header outlets are a tad different so that makes the bends a little different.

FWIW, the headers should be the same between 98-99 and 00-01 as far as how they end. In 2000 they added the cat and O2 sensors. I dont know if they changed the inside diamaeter of the down pipes but i know in 98-99 they were 2mm larger the 6th... Which are almost identical to 5th gen and are a direect bolt on for 6th gen owners.

To me something just looks like it isn't quite in there right. Perhaps the gasket where the midpipe meets the headers is preventing you from getting the midpipe in there properly.

The mid pipe is all the way on. Aftermarket mid pipes dont use a gasket.
