Fred and tex were refering to the pencil like size of the gen 2 stock forks, they are much more stable and fun to ride with the larger O.D. forks. It really does change the bike and is without a doubt the best mod known to man.

Listening to folks that have had these bikes since they arrived in '86, under serious cornering the stock parts tend to walk out a bit. It also allows you to have more modern tires available DRAMATICALLY changing the feel. Not to mention it looks bitchin.

Crusty: MMI is at Deer Valley and 27th Ave in Northern Phoenix. It's a helluva commute, but totally worth it. 45 miles one way!

It's only a 12 mile commute for me since I am right off of I-17 and Carefree Highway, but well worth it just to learn all we are learning
