    Hello everyone,

Decided to upgrade from my 89 Ninja 600 (bought to learn how to ride) and after reading every review I could find I fell in love with the VFR. I was able to bring one home about 3 days ago. I live on the Oregon Coast and am praying for some good weather. I want to start longer trips but most rides will be same day twisties. Any input on what upgrades to do first would be appreciated.

    -Tony

I love the Candy Red. I agree with Jason. Ride the bike for a while, break it in, then think about what you don't like or would like to upgrade. Welcome.

Welcome Tony, from one NOOB to another!

If you are going to do some long trips I would suggest some kind of saddle bags. Your other option is too pack the bare necesities and leave behind things you can abs live without, like a clean shirt. I'm well aware many travel like this but IMO some-sort of saddle and/or tank bag is the way to go. I have factory hard bags which are a pricey option but, i really like the convience esp when my gf is with me on trips. She can never pack light. Also, that machine is way to precious to be touched by a bungy cord.

And ditto on the color! Very Nice!

Tony, I am picking up the same Bike this coming Saturday. Small world, I moved here in NC from Portland, Oregon 2.5 years ago. Loved the Oregon Coast. Spent allot of time out there Flying kites on the beach. Normally here in NC we can ride almost all year long. This year...not so much. Winter has been really cold this year. I am hoping for a hint of sprint in the next couple of weeks.

Well mines not quiet as brand new as it was less than a month ago... It is an awesome ride and the red is the best color I've seen on a bike (the scratches where I dropped it hardly show :)

Bike runs like a dream just put the 1500 mile on her today and will have her well past two thousand by the time my weekends over, we are suppose to have three beautiful days out here.

Enjoy the bike it is a blast.
