Hello from British Columbia

Hello all,
I am new to vfrworld, and ride a 2002 vfr (red, what a suprise). This is the most amazing bike I have ever ridden. I have ridden faster bikes and even more comfortable bikes, but never a bike with the power, handling and comfort of this bike. Anyway, thanks for a great site. :smile:

My friend and I are hoping to ride the puget sound in the spring, it would be great to ride with "locals".

 

Hi BC, welcome to the group all the way to the other coast, Halifax. I bought my 2000 red vfr in August. Too much fun ever since.

Anytime your in Washington just let us know, I know some great places to ride about 10 minutes from the Victoria to Port Angeles ferry. I've been to B.C. about five times now, but never on two wheels. So I will definitely be in your neck of the woods in the spring/summer time, and local knowledge is the only way to go. What part of B.C. are you from?

 

I live in Vancouver and would be happy to "show you around" on 2 wheels. There are some amazing rides around here (Vancouver to Whistler and Duffey Lake).

British Columbia ia very, very nice. In fact, I wish NJ looked like that. I spent a weekend there in 2003 for the CAF 4th Wing Comox Air Show. What's that beer that has Big Foot's foot as it's trademark? It was pretty tasty if I remember correctly.

Hey, BC. Welcome to the group. I am glad to hear you are enjoying your viffer. I have to agree with you that the VFR is an amazing machine. Ok, maybe not amazing but pretty darned close. lol

 

Hey KC-10, I believe the beer you are talking about is kokanee, a very popular beverage around here. :rockon:

 

That would be the one. It tastes even better when you get it for free since you were a crew member of one of the static displays during the airshow.

Kokanee Beer. Best part of it is the commercials. But it sells good all across Canada so so much for my opinions I guess.

Wow...This is an old thread BC-vfr if your still around there seems to be a lot more south coast vfr riders on this site now. close to 10 @ last count. we all need to get together for a big group ride.

Kc to bad i missed your visit would of liked to have shared a few Kokanees with ya ....i wonder if your as diplomatic in person LOL LOL

Welcome BC! I spent several years on the North Shore back in the 90's. Loved it and got to ride at least 8 weeks more than I do in this part of the country.
