Well, my new to me 1999 VFR (red) is pretty well done. Just have to install the fairing lowers and the exhaust can, and she's ready to roll. All new brake and clutch fluid, new antifreeze, new oil & filter, valves checked (all in spec) two new tires (Conti Road attacks). Fired her up last night with no can........sounded like a motoGP garage! Now if the weather would just coperate,
I could run on down the road! Oh, I also cleaned the thing from stem to stern, looks almost new. Man, I'm stoked. I'm pretty sure I won't finish before next week, as Valentines day happens on my next day off. Oh well, she did let me buy it bringing my total to 3 bikes (one rider). She deserves a nice Valentines:wink:

    I'll post pic's when she's all done!

It's in the high 20's, with a new storm coming for this weekend, then an "artic blast" for next week. Been a pretty rough winter this year, but I'm not complaining, I know many others in much worse shape (east coast). I was able to put approx 130 miles on it before the weather closed in completely, but so far my warmest ride was in the mid 40's. That being said, I bought it on Dec. 7th, rode it 30 miles home @ 23 degrees in a snow flurry. I fully expect there to be many warm perfect days in the future! Even now I'm celebrating the days getting longer and longer. Yes, my glass is half full!!!!!!! Having a rough winter makes spring, summer & fall all the more sweeter!!

I'm from Missouri myself so I remember waiting to ride. Now I don't have to do that so much anymore. It gets cool at night here, but always warms back up in the daytime. Good luck, maybe you'll get an Indian Summer soon...
