Big WARNING to all that read this, if you have old power boards (not sure if thats what they are called world wide) replace them. This fire was caused by one that only had two thing plugged in leaving the other two spots empty. was not an over load just shorted out due to age.

Just found these from last year. Just thought I would show them. Both wife and daughter made it out before it took hold. As we had only just separated I was living 5 minutes away. When I got the call I had only been out of hospital from big surgery procedure. Wasn't meant to be walking but took me 2 minutes to get there. Arrived in time to see my house explode, fire officers said they had never felt a house fire so hot.
We lost my two cats (Burmese and tonkanese) which my little girl had as her own from the day she was born.

House fires are something that I alway felt sorry for the people but when it happens to you you realise how horrible it really is. Was insured but didnt cover all losses as I dropped the contents on that house to cover what I had in my place. Stupid thing was I hadnt moved anything out.

Yep it was knocked down and rebuilt by new owner. It could have been so much different if I wasnt so safety concerned and installed a few fire detectors.
So remember guys and girls if you have old powerboards spend the small amount of $$ and replace them to be safe. I would hate to hear that someone else lost everything due to a fire. I can still smell it now and it brings back bad memories.

All moved on now and happy.
