man, that thing sure looks sweet. I wish I could find one. I saw one overseas, I think, on ebay. It was the castrol racing paintjob. Pretty sweet looking...

    Thanks Reg:wink: ....

You can find them here in the states you just have to
keep your ear or eye to the net. Post on BARF or Craigslist
and keep watching ebay. The day I went to get this
one, one came for sale in Louzina for nearly a grand lower
than this one and looked better. But I did get a second
motor with this one. They do turn up. Oh I did see on a
Yahoo group a guy had an RF for sale but he never
    would tell me the price.

If your serious I'll keep my eye out for ya I still get mail
from time to time of guys in the states wanting to sell
    me one.

I have been looking around on ebay and such. They look like a lot of fun. I might be a little too tall from what I read, though. I'm 6'1 and I heard they are a little cramped. I bet it would be fun to tear up some curves on for short distance, though...

Yeah I'm 5ft10 with short legs 31inseam I have seen
people 6'1 across the big water ride them. Its small
for sure but very easy to toss around. Try
Bayarearidersforum.com and that Craigslist thing and
the Yahoo. Post some messages and I'm sure you can
    turn one up.

    Thanks RVFR......
Got it out in the sun today.

Been a bit from my last post. I have been working late
hours trying to sort out a carb issue. It seems as if when
I got this bike it was only running on the two cyl the front
right and rear right. Not knowing any better I had no idea
until a fellah told me to spray the headers at the head with
a mist of water. You couldn't hear it in the exhaust due to
the stock pipe choking it to death. After I got a new slip
on it sounded like the thing had a cam with lots of lope.
I took the carbs off I couldn't count how many times and
figured out how to sink em up.

Along with a 39cm can, I redid my paint to a better job,
built a hugger. Just waiting on my new fuel cap and base
and a fuel tap oring and I will be back on the street.

Thanks to all your support, it has been a fun project.

That is one sweet-looking bike, man! What'd you build the hugger out of?

Wow...that thing is beautiful. I'd be sitting at a stop sign scratching my head trying to figure out what the heck that thing is if it rode by. Nice job!

Thanks guys, I have had more people ask about this
thing than anything I have ever built or referbed.

The hugger is out of polyester resin and chopped glass.

Pretty easy to make really if you have the time this winter
I can write up a HOWTO on making one. Just takes cardboard,
resin, painters tape or duct tape, and the glass.

Not a problem. Best thing to do is try and get me a couple
pictures of your swing arm and area on your bike. How you
want to mount it and then I can tell you the best way to
do it. It can be done with about 40 bucks in supplies or so
Thats with paint and bondo. You can build it to just be a
hugger and shock guard or a hugger and chain guard like
mine. I am going to mod mine even more over winter and
make it a hugger, chain guard and tag holder, may even
out LED's to light the tag. I still have a few things to work
    out with all that.

Very nice work, I'd be really interested in the hugger fabrication as well.

If one of you could take me some pictures of the swing
arm on both sides with no funkey angles and some mounting
points I should be able to discribe how you could do it on
your bike. I know mine is somewhat different. I only have
two mounting points where the old chain guard would mount
    up.

The thing is you are going to be making a mold out of cardboard
and bondo to shape the inner curves. Once you have that then
its just simple glass work and sanding. Cut and sand to shape
and your ready for paint. So, post up some pictures and I'll walk
ya'll through it. If I had a MACRO lens for my camera I would
take some better pictures but I can only focus at like 3ft which
is too far to get into the detailed area's.

The only mounting holes I could find on mine are the chain guard, like yours, so if you could describe how you made yours, especially how you made the mold, that would be great.

Ok I have it all done up. I am going to start a thread for just the hugger. Like I said I don't have construction pictures but the discription is more than you need I would think.
