Hey all. Just picked up a brand new 07 RWB on Monday, had the 600 mile break in service on Wed.

I love this bike... I've been riding for about 4 years now and was a little unsure of what to expect coming from an I4. So far I'm really impressed. Any advice? Tips? Saddlebags for sale?

Look forward to getting to know my way around VFR world!

I don't think that you can beat the looks of the RWB bikes. Classic but yet still in style. I'd say ride it for a bit longer then think about what you might want to change - gearing, exhaust, seat, etc. It's a great bike and I'm sure you will love it. Welcome to the forum.

thanks for the welcome. I noticed what sounded like a slight rattle/buzz from the front end, just the plastics? My last bike was naked so I'm getting used to all this fancy bodywork...

Can you tell exactly where in the front end? Does it do it all the time or just at certain speeds or RPM? How loud is it? I don't think you should be hearing any funny noises at all. I don't on mine.

sounded like around plastics. I put a wrench on every bolt and nothing was loose. The only thing I noticed was the my front turn signals wiggle a little, but I just assumed it was normal mounting

Just paid for a new 2007 RWB myself today. Should be uncrated and prepped by the end of the week. FINALLY after over 25 years of wanting an interceptor/VFR, I can finally afford it! And agreed with above, the deciding factor was the 'retro' paint. Loved it in the 80's and I love it NOW!

yeah, I ride a 98 and the only VFR I have seen in the last 10 yrs that has tempted me to trade was the RWB bike. I came very close to it, but I decided to stick with my old bike until she gets 100000 miles at least. From there, who knows.

    Welcome guys.
FYI, my front turn signals are able to wiggle a little bit with some force applied, but i dont hear any buzzing like that around my plastics. Of course, i call her my sewing machine, so....

Congrats! Aarrgghh! I gotta move somewhere warm! Sitting up here at 5 degress above zero, with ice packed, snow-covered roads!
Hey, so i am looking to buy one of these too in the next month, so i will just have to let it sit until March or April -frown-.
    Anyway, I have a question,
What is up with taking the mirrors off? Is that just a style thing? I only started riding last year and have never seen that or thought of doing that........
Or is that just for the pictures?
    Regards,

Assuming you mean Jklein's post. Not sure either. I've been riding for over 25 yrs and 7 bikes. I've never taken my mirrors off of my street bikes. Of course, I've taken them off of my track bikes but that's different. The EX500 is a nice bike to start, learn and keep riding. It was a solid bike when it first came out as "half a Ninja 1000" and its still a solid bike now. After borrowing my roomates bike for a few years, my first bike was an 87 EX500 (Ninja 500). Did the FZ600 front end swap and put hotter cams in after about a year of owning it. Rode that thing all over the place for years and never let me down. In the end, used it on the track for a year and then sold it.

There's a few VFR800 Anniversary models on ebaymotors from a dealer in your state. Good luck and don't get too stir crazy!

EDIT: looks like Jklein has a bar end mirror, heard it gives a better view.

(Funny, I thought i had replied to this over the weekend?
Ok, so yes, thanks, i did notice that bar end mirror now, good eye! That makes sense too about taking the mirrors off for the track.....
Well, I went to look at the bike and now can't decide which color - the RWB is 400 bucks more.......

I'm a sucker for a nice paint job. I had to make the same decision and in the end, the price premium was paid. :) I guess thats the price for my nostalgia.

LoL, i just made the same decision yesterday! I really do like the Blue White and Red, and something about the "burgundy" just didn't sit right with me. So i picked the Anniversary Edition!
At least the dealer agreed to deliver the bike for free!
So now I am just waiting for the loan processing from my credit union.
I should have it in a week or so i guess!

You guys and your RWB. :shakeshead:

White is still the best. ANY great honda should be offered in CW1 - Championship White.

    Hey, white is cool.

Although, you know i think maybe my first choice would've been black......

And I am too new to really do any flaming yet, haha!

White is great. Especially the 1993 VFR in addition to the 2009 Canadian model which is white / black with white rims.

Don't knock the "burgundy" the paint is gorgeous, to me the RWB wasn't appealing thus why I choose the red over the other color. Though it seems more ppl like the RWB more but eh... personal pref and if we all had the same color it be boring.
I would say slap on some accessories and an exhaust, the V4 sounds lovely when its not restricted by the beautiful but choking stock exhaust.

No, don't worry, i'm not knocking it! I actually went back and forth quite a while in my decision. I like the red, i had a car that color a few years back, but the RWB finally won out. And I agree, it's cool that we aren't all the same!

I actually REALLY love white. Especially if you add in some red and some blue.... :)

It was just a nostalgia thing for me. I actually did look at the red and almost pulled the trigger. But seeing the retro paint in person made me feel young again, when biking was the only reason I woke up. Now it's the only reason I work...
