How often do you lube your chain, iv been told every 150 miles (non auto lubed chain). but i can go out in the morning and come home 300 miles later. I doubt everyone caries a can of lube and stops every 150 miles.

what is your take on it?

    Lube when it needs it...

500 miles or so. Depends on what you use for lube (not meant to start another lube thread) ......

When it's needed... or more often
In the last 3 days I've ridden 350km... 200 of it was raining (yes... I got a tad damp)
This morning I noticed the chain clicking and clunking... time for lube

when I think of it. I try and look at it, and if it looks black, I clean it and re-lube it... That's one of the advantages for me of running a gold chain. Otherwise, I'd probably ignore it like my black rims that get cleaned every time I take them to Tori for new tires.

At least once a week but I put on lots of miles in a week. So it probably works out to about every 400 miles or so and I have gotten good mileage out of my chain and sproket. Or so I am told. And i ride in the winter rains too

Everty 500 miles or so, depending on conditions. I know lubing the chain is easy, but I dislike doing it. Think I'll finally install the Scott Oiler (touring model) I've had sitting around for about a year. Hope it will be worth it.

if I was to go by the PO....never...... I sprayed it down and knocked the rust off.. then at TOEs house he sprayed this magic chain lube on it...all the bad stuff ran off my chain screaming something like "it burns it burns makes it stop!!!!!... I would say once a week if your riding heavy.. or 500 miles which ever comes first...
