Abs light stays on

When i start my new 2002 VFR800 ABS the red light on the dash stays on?. Is this normal?

 

Just checking but have you rode the bike yet? It stays on until about 6mph or so and then goes off. If so there is a diagnostic check in the service manual that you can run through. Also check your fuse.

 

ditto, you mean it is on when you start it up in your garage/driveway? Or it is staying on even after you start to ride it.
