I'd suggest ABOUT 33 front/35 rear (cold).....40 is too much for your bike, especially up front.

    ( no passenger or baggage)

Thanks ill try the 33/35 out, i cant remember what i was running before on the (barracudas or we came on the bike when i got it)

I didnt feel too comfy running a tire at 40psi that its max pressure is 40psi anyways

Send an email to the Pirelli technical folks and ask them. They will be able to provide you with the correct range of pressures, after all, they engineered and developed the damn things and will know more about them than anybody on any forum. Do you go ask your neighbor what is wrong with you when you get sick, or do you go see your doctor?

Post up the information they reply with, it will help everybody who uses that brand and model of tire.

The reason to ask on here is because someone else most likely has the same or a very similar setup and already discovered the correct pressure...

That being said i did just email the good folks at pirelli and currently waiting a respone...

That depends on the type of tire. I'm assuming it's a BIAS-ply tire. I run 36-38 front and 38-40 rear since the mid eighties. When I raced on bias-ply we used 40 front and rear. If they are radial tires then lower pressures are used. I've read 32-34 front and 33-36 rears. I've noticed over the years with the bias-ply that they are crisp handling at the pressures I use. The bike feels vague and seems to react slower with lower pressures. I still get the mileage out of them.

Do all tires work the same with the same pressures?

Is it necessary to be concerned with hot and cold pressures?

Do different manufacturers recommend different pressures for different tire models, compounds, and intended usage?

Should you set up your chassis so that the chassis performs at it's best, when running the manufacture recommended pressures for the tires that you have chosen?

Are you getting the most out of your tires if you change the pressure to a setting outside the manufacturer's recommended settings, because the chassis isn't set up to work within the recommended pressure range?

Why buy high end tires if you aren't going to go through the correct setup procedures so that you can get the most bang for your hard earned dollar?

If you aren't going to go through the setup process, does it really matter what tire pressures you run?

Gen6 specs 36 front, 40 rear. On my shop's recommendation, I run both tires at +4 (40f, 44r) to counter cupping and it works! I got 12000 miles out of the front and the rear's at 15000...

About the same as Cyborg on my Gen 2, I'll run about 40psi front and about 45 rear- manual says 36psiFr and 42 rear above 200 lbs. load. (I am a stone or two above 200.)
    No problems so far.
