chain and sprockets

Where is a good/cheap place to find a new chain and front and rear sprocket?

Ebay has a set for around $130 but idk the quality... i wanna just replace it as all as im sure its never been changed

You may want to ask folks like Crustyrider or ToeCutter in a PM .. They have older bikes. You may also post the link form ebay for others to take a peek at and comment on.

A high quality chain and sprocket combo runs $140-$170.

Avoid alloy rear sprockets and any cheap Chinese chains.

 

thanks, those say steel sprockets and a japanese made chain...

i know the chinese clone everything but what about the jap chain?


and while im on the subject, where can i find different tooth sprockets? say have a set for better acc and a set for higher top end... idk what my top speed should be but at close to 200lbs i hit just over 120mph

I have an 84 vf700, and so far I've seen nothing online.... ill check out the site u linked to when I get off work

 

It's likely that you won't find a steel rear sprocket unless you stick with stock # teeth.

 

Well your bike came with a jap chain so I would assume they're pretty good!

 

LOL, good point... I think ill spend the $130 on the eBay setup, anything has gotta be better than the worn out one on there

they have different sized sprocket but will not ship outside of europe under any circumstance
