Excuse me? So who's fault is that? If the family is getting pissed because they are being "hassled" for driving some asshole's vehicle, they need to put some family pressure on that ass.

I am sure glad we here in Canada, for the most part anyways, don't have our hands tied like the police down in the USA. When I was a LEO, all I wanted to do was what was right. I did not punish people. I did not sentence people to jail terms. I only put them in jail if it was neccessary, either for their own safety (drunks) or assure court appearences or prevent the continuation of an offence. There are instances where once we arrest a person, the law does not allow us to release. The courts must do so. A bit of a side bar here. In Canada, if an accused is in court un-represented, the onus is on the judge to ensure his rights are protected.

Now Unamed11. I can surely sympathize with you in that you appear frustrated that you were arrested based in information police obtained that was incorrect. But again. Whose fault is that. The police in your case were acting on reasonable and probable grounds that a warrant exsisted for your arrest. You say that the courts screwed something up. And maybe they did. But it is the courts that made that error, not the police. And I dodn't know what you do for a living so I cannot comment on your proffession. But electricians make mistakes. I recall my truck being taken into a dealership over 6 times to get a leak fixed. I had the contractor who built my house back several times to fix a leak and it was not fixd until I found the problem. I walked around on a broekn foot for a week a while back because I was mis-diagnosed in and emergency room by a doctor. And, yes, even near perfect me has made mistakes. Maybe one of them is getting involved in this thread. Time will tell.

Your liberty was taken away for what you believe to be someone's mistake. You have remedies. Either use these remedies, or move on. I am not slaming you here. But I am standing up for my former proffession, that if I had to do all over again, I would do the same.

Perfect. If there was no fear of consequence of driving without a motorcycle tag, then why would anyone bother to go out and get one, or take a MC course or show at least the basic competencies to ride a bike safely, thus making the rest of us safe. In my 3 1/2 year of riding, I have been pulled over twice. Both times I deserved it. Have no idea how many times my plates were run. I hope a lot.

That's funny! Every time I see it, I wonder if the guy exposing himself knows that drivers, skiers, etc. always tend to go in the direction they are looking. Where do you find these things, vfb?

couple of time in 3 years, your lucky, I get pulled over AT least 4 times a year, usually more then that. When I get off the VFR and see my age and realized they pull me over before they run license and make sure there’s no warrants and write me another warning ticket TELL ME TO SLOW DOWN.

    Good one

When I saw it, I thought he might be saying, "HEY, since you're leading the race, why not check out my C@CK!!!!"

And it isn't a self portrait, but I have been known to do such things. Heeeheeeheee

If you get pulled over just deal with it. Be polite, have all your paperwork handy, admit to nothing..... Cop, "Do you know why I pulled you over?" Me, "I haven't got any idea." Cop, " You were doing 64mph in a 55mph." (by the way this was on a highway in Wyoming no other cars around). He gave me a $50 ticket. I paid him there and then and went back to Canada. He was in his late 20's and a jobs worth piece of shit. He was so far up up his own ass with his high and mighty strutty walk. As soon as I saw him I knew I was getting a ticket. I just did what I had to and then I was on my way. Before anybody says anything I used to be a UK traffic cop before I came to Canada. That was the best outcome I could have had in that situation. I dealt with it and moved on.

well, iv got it figured out.

the original officer that gave me the improper plates ticket gave me the ticket and took my plate. after I left he then scratched off and changed information on the ticket before turning it into the court. thus the ticket went to 2 different courts. I called the number on the ticket to the court to get information and started the process. i never knew nor could know that the other court was waiting for me to go in for an arraignment.

both my lawyer and people at the courthouse are flabbergasted that i actually got arrested for this, and my lawyer things he might be able to get this dismissed. he has already taken care of it in one court, now we have to wait for a date to deal with the other court.

Whatever the outcome, I will be making some sort of complaint against the officer that purposely gave me false information.
