Largest tire that will fit on stock '86 VF500 wheels?

Like the title says, I'd like to know what the largest size tires that will fit on stock 1986 VF500F wheels are. (front and rear)
I've heard of people putting larger tires on the rear, but rarely the front (due to the possibility that a larger front than stock will negatively effect handling).

Fitting the wheel is quite different than fitting the bike clearances, and also quite different than what size is best for handling. That said, this question has been asked and answered many, many times. Search around a bit and you will find a lot of good advice. I'm running a stock front and 120 rear but will go back to a 110 rear when new rubber is needed. Tire brand makes a difference too.
