Any thoughts as to where a guy could locate a pair of replacement OEM (or OEM style) mirrors for an 06 VFR?

I haven't actually checked with Honda yet, but figure the price may be pretty steep.
Has anyone had good luck with any aftermarket mirrors for their VFR? My fiew doesn't want any flashy type mirrors, just ones that look like the OEM ones, and are functional.

    Thanks.

I had to order a replacement for a broken mirror on my bike; the OEM at Babbitsonline.com was around $82 with shipping. Arrived yesterday and looked fine. BTW, I ordered mirror extenders from RL Cycles in Georgia and what a difference: I can see more than my arms now.

I purchased CBR mirrors from Ebay at $30 for a pair from China. Same shape and size, and they work well. I have a spare now, should the other mirror break itself:biggrin:.

So current model CBR mirrors will fit the VFR then?

Yes, but the stalks may be shorter. Emgo always has exact replicas for about $30 a pair. Easy to find anywhere too. Mirror extenders definitely help too. Just had an idea...take an old pair of mirrors, cut the stalk and weld it to the new mirrors, sand, and paint for custom mirrors. I've never seen anyone do this but seems pretty simple and a cheap alternative to the spacer blocks.

Emgo mirrors for 6th gen VFR

I bought a pair of Emgo brand mirrors at my local Honda shop. The mirrors look almost identical to the factory mirrors. The shop had two styles, one with shorter stalks and one with longer stalks. I bought the longer-stalked models and they fit perfectly. Model number for rt side is 20-87021, HON#88110-MBW-023. Model number for left side is 20-87022, HON#88120-MBW-013. The package states that the mirrors fit CBR600F4 99-05, RVT1000R 00-05, no mention of the VFR Interceptor. $30 per mirror.

Emgo is the way to go! Looks the same as OEM, and pretty cheap. I found replacement Emgo's for my old ZX6R at Cyclegear for around 30 bucks.

Thanks. We ended up getting the EMGO mirrors from the Honda shop. They were very affordable. The ones we got are slightly less up-angled than the originals, but other than that you couldn't tell the difference.

Thanks for the info. I bought a pair of integrated mirrors from Ebay. Although the look is nice the quality is just not there. I had to super glue the mirror pivot because they kept falling downward. Then the stems now want to cave inward and i constantly have to push them out. Now they are very buzzy. If i can't fix the problem then i'm going to give the Emgos a shot.

Ill let everyone know how it goes.

The Emgo mirrors sound a great find and way cheaper than the prices being charged by Honda. Its a shame they are not available in Europe, as it sounds like the people who have tried the Emgo mirrors are very happy with them - unlike the nasty Chinese ones which we can get on Ebay.

So is there a way for the Mods to keep this thread visible - PLEASE?

Just a thought - could the Mods set up a sub folder for 6th Gen "useful finds", which only Mods could post to, so that when really useful threads like this appear, they can copy over the key posts?

Just wanted to say thank you for this post! I needed to replace a mirror in a hurry, and these Emgos seem to fit the bill. For anyone interested, I bought them through J R Graham Powersports for a fair price, and they offer expedited shipping.

Ordered the same "87021, HON#88110-MBW-023. Model number for left side is 20-87022, HON#88120-MBW-013" but they don't seem to fit or am I missing something obvious since I don't see how I could adjust them. The originals on my '09 had been replaced with bar end mirrors so I have don't have the OEMS to compare to the EMGO.
