Are rear wheels interchangeable across all the single sided swingarm VFR's from 1990 to the 800's?????

In other words could I fit an 800 rear onto a 750L or V and vice versa

Don't know about "all" generations - but the 3rd & 4th gen rear wheels swap fine. IIRC, the 4th gen rear wheel is somewhat narrower.

All the SSSA wheels will swap out from 3rd to 6th gen. I have a 3rd gen rear wheel on my 6th gen and a 6th gen wheel on a 5th gen swing arm on a 2nd gen bike. That sounds like a mess now that I have said it.

Only thing that won't work is 5th and 6th gen wheels on 3rd gen hubs. The bolts stick out on the hubs and you have to machine clearances for them, thats the only problems.

So are you running a narrower tire on your 6th gen, Toe Cutter? It's a 170 on the older bikes is it not?

I believe the 3g wheel came in 5" and 5.5". The 5.5" rim allows the use of the a 180 series tire without dicking up the profile. Of course, I've been wrong before and I'm sure somebody will take the opportunity to tell me so.

    3rd gen wheel 5.5
    4th gen wheel 5.0
    5th gen wheel 5.5
    6th gen wheel 5.5

Must notch backside of 5th/6th gen wheels to put on 3rd/4th gen bike. No modification needed to put 3rd/4th gen. wheels on 5th/6th gen bike.

3rd gen wheel heaviest (approx. 15 lb.) , 5th/6th gen wheel identical and next lightest (approx. 14 lb.) , and 4th gen wheel lightest at approx. 12 lb. but too narrow for a 180 rear tire.

The 3rd gen VFR750 had a 170 rear tire despite having a 5.5 wide rim, which is why people often get confused between it and the 4th gen's 5.0 wide rim that also took a 170, therefore leading to the false conclusion that maybe the 3rd gen wheel was 5.0 wide as well, which it never was and never will be.
