VFR gathering in 2010

actually, 20 would be just about right. i went through this thread and counted 21 with a few posts stating that they would be bringing an extra rider or 2. as we move toward this spring gathering (i know, 'spring gathering' sounds gay....not that there's anything wrong with that), we'll probably get a few more folks, as well as a few drop-outs (losers! :rip. i figure 20-25 shirts would be right. good on ya, rc51. now for a simple design...

as i went thru this thread to collect the names of the potential attendees, i also wrote down all of the slogans for the rally. i'll post them after i fix another dirkn. :crazy:

 

i agree we need to go ahead and pick a name for this event,goahead and post them bill and lets see what we got to work with

could reword my slogon 14) "USA Eastern VFR's Taming of the Dragon"
to read "Eastern USA VFRWORLD Taming of the Dragon"
or "Eastern VFRWORLD Taming of the Dragon"
think it makes it better

 

let's make sure that we don't decide the night before (read, under the influence), otherwise we'll all be valentino rossi, ben spies, nori haga, matt maladin, etc...hahaha
as for me, i ride intermediate at the tracks. that said, i ride slower on the road and wouldn't mind leading the midpack (intermediate) group. my wife :thumbsup: (novice group x 8 track days and follows maps better than i) would gladly lead the beginners (does not mean slow) group. i don't think we'll have a problem with folks being honest about their pace. nothing to prove to anyone..

I just assumed you wanted to be leading the slower group anyways. Let's call it a relaxed pace, instead of the slow group. Perhaps we should be asking what you're more comforable with? Do you consider yourself to be an AGGRESIVE rider? Or not so much. Do you prefer a relaxed pace? Are you afraid of steep lean angles? Do you have limited riding experience? No one should be intimidated or be pressured into riding faster than they feel comfortable with. This get together is for fun. Let's all keep that in mind.

 

I had lunch with Gramps today. I told him about the group on VFRW and he can't wait to meet you guys.Then we went for a 150 mile ride, the weather was great..nice clear skies and temps in the 70.

 

We've got to narrow it down to maybe 3 titles before a vote. Let's start there. Pick your top 3 and see what we end up with. I think 5,6,7,8,11 and 12 are out right off the bat. Need to have VFRW in there.

ok ive narroed it down some more in my opion there are only 4 real good sloguns now i agree with sparky since we are all members of this site it should have vfrw in it some where so keep that in mind when you are voteing

I can see it now, everyone's gonna vote for they're own slogan. Maybe we could tweek a couple of them............VFRW south rally or VFRW southeast rally... VFRW spring round up how about " slayin dragons, scrapin pegs" as a subtitle?? need your feedback .
