How's it going to all? My name is Tony and obvisouly new here. i am planning on buying an 07 red/white/blue VFR. Now by planning i mean its a 98% go cause i an a Tech for Honda here in Jacksonville, FL. Lets see i have 2 bikes currently, a 1979 CB750F and an 82 CB900F ( i like the old school). i joined the forum to see whats up with the VFR's truely and see what they are alla bout. I have ridden one for a short period of time but it had been rear ended and had 50,000 miles and didn't seem rigth to me. Liek it shook like all get out under hard acceleration.... is that normal for the V4? Anyhwo you'll see me around

Hi Tony, welcoem to the group. Shaking under hard accelleratoin, to my knowledge, is not normal. I have a 93 and i experience no such symptom. It rides well and is comfotable for my 5' 7" frame. Over time, the VFR has proven that it is a durable machine that can do nearly everything you ask, except maybe go off road and that one might be debatable still if you put some knobbies on it. You didn't say what year the on you rode was or if it was rear ended and repaired before or after you rode it. If before, I would think the frame may have been tweaked. But it would take more info than whats in your post to try to wager a close guess. Any, once again, welcome to the group and good luck with your future purchase of a R/W/B 07 VFR.

Welcome to the club. Nah, that doesn't sound normal to me either. The VFR is one of the smoothest bikes I have had especially at speed. I think the extra weight may help with that. I can cruise smoothly at 100+ on a 98 with over 40000 miles.

well it was a 2000 and wasn't repaired, mainly cracked plastic and broken light. it was smooth locked throttle but under hard acceleration the motor seemed to shake kinda hevay, even more than L-twins, like a weird shake....

I ride a 2004 vfr, the smoothest, most stable,road/sport bike I've ridden.Rode a bunch of i4's,quicker but after 1hr the vfr shines.Comfort and performance, kick in the v-tech ,it moves out.vfrs are versatile,1 bike that does alot very well.Don't know the bike you rode, but it it does'nt sound charactaristic of a gen 5 or 6 vfr
