rectifier pics

    Can anyone tell me if this is the stock setup for my rectifier and wiring?
    Any help would be greatly apreciated.

    Hi,
    That looks like the aftermarket wire harness sold by tightwad at --www.wiremybike.com --- My guess is that the R/R is the same sold by him to. -- I did the vfrness on my '98 too, but went with the upgraded Honda R/R.

    To confirm the aftermarket harness, see if there is a longish extention with a fuse on it hanging out under the seat.

    - So far, I think it does the job, although I dont like the "mess" of wires in there.

    Looks like an after market RR and like someone has done some some kind of wireing upgrade to the charging system. (thats a good thing!)

    Map
    Stock R/R # for 98 is SH579A-11 according to this one here in my hand. Stock is also darker gray almost black and wiring appears different.
